Teachers face constraints in accessing teaching aids that are more engaging, interactive, culturally grounded, and student-centered for the topic of Malay figurative compound nouns. Therefore, a teaching aid named Kia ArPoly Kit was designed and developed to assist teachers in teaching figurative compound nouns by supporting the Game-Based Learning method digitally using Augmented Reality, Local Wisdom, and 21st Century Skills. The Design and Development Research (DDR) approach was employed to design and develop this kit through three phases: needs analysis, design and development, and usability evaluation. Overall, the Kia ArPoly Kit, based on gamified Augmented Reality, local wisdom, and 21st-century skills is a necessity for teachers to aid them in teaching figurative compound nouns.
