In the rapidly growing skincare industry, consumers often face challenges in selecting products that align with their individual skin needs. Many users lack the knowledge to interpret ingredient lists and understand how products may interact with their specific skin types, leading to adverse reactions such as breakouts or irritation. Additionally, the widespread misdiagnosis of skin types due to misinformation or lack of awareness further complicates product selection and routine planning. This project aims to address these challenges by developing a smart skincare assistant that empowers users to make informed skincare decisions. The system incorporates three core features: They are a product suitability checker that evaluates skincare products based on the user's skin condition and ingredients compatibility, an AI-powered skin type detection module that analyses uploaded facial images to determine the user's skin type, and a personalized skincare routine generator that recommends products for each step in a routine tailored to the user's skin concerns and skin type. By providing scientifically-informed and user-specific guidance, this system seeks to reduce trial-and-error in skincare, prevent misuse of products, and help users achieve effective and balanced skincare outcomes all of which directly contributing to Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and well-being.
