It has been reported that over 95 million tons of fabric waste have been generated worldwide since January 2022, largely due to the fast fashion industry. As a result, our team has developed a business concept called BEVA Thrift Store, which incorporates Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) into its business model. BEVA Thrift Store is a business that is specifically aligned with SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and aims to promote sustainable lifestyles among the university community. We are focusing on promoting sustainable consumption practices by providing a hybrid platform for university students and staff to donate or sell their pre-loved products. Our business operates through online marketplaces and pop-up stores, and we practice social entrepreneurship to extend the lifespan of products and keep them from ending up in landfills. We have also collaborated with a variety of stakeholders, with a particular emphasis on marginalised communities, to appreciate preloved items.
