One of the technology tools that gain popularity among learners is mobile learning which is referred as m-learning, is a method of repossessing learning contents through mobile devices. ESL learners are facing a major issue in writing skills as they were unable to construct main ideas and organise the ideas into a few paragraphs which made their essays to be less interesting to be read. Therefore, the aim of this study was to identify the effectiveness of mobile learning environment among ESL learners to construct main ideas and organise the ideas into a few paragraphs accordingly through discussion among their group members. The data for this study were gathered using quantitative method. The instruments used were the pre-test and post-test. The quantitative data were analysed using the SPSS version 25. The findings claimed that mobile learning environment developed ESL learners’ ability to construct main ideas and their organisation skill as the post-test scores for the both elements of main idea and organisation skill were improved as opposed to the pre-test scores. The results of this present study elucidated that teachers need to incorporate different teaching approaches among learners to develop their writing abilities as mobile learning environment provides opportunities among learners to carry out their discussion during their own pace and involvement of mobile learning enables learners to do continuous writing practices after their classroom activities.
