The KEMSITE is a digital application platform produced to provide marketing information on selected outdoor leisure or camping areas around state of Selangor for inbound and outbound campers. The idea of creating this mobile application came about when the Malaysian Government, implemented the Movement Control Order (MCO) to curb the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic that hit the country. As a result of the PKP order, all social and leisure activities, including travel within the country, are limited. This has resulted in emotional stress and discomfort just sitting at home alone without doing any activity. Impressed by the situation, the demand from local tourists for leisure and recreational locations in the country is becoming more popular, including camping activities, where these activities are safer and more privacy (Berita Harian, 2020). This application developed to make it easier for local campers to choose outdoor leisure or camping areas in an integrated manner only through their smartphones. The application provides various links to selected camping destinations. The application idea is equipped with maps to guide campers to their destination of choice. In the initial stage, the research team will focus on the state of Selangor camping areas and expand to camping locations throughout Malaysia. Some links deemed appropriate will be established based on current demand and situation.
